Got up (5:30) Braided hair Drove to yoga Did all of primary series Drove home Internetted Showered Breakfasted Coffeed Walked to work Tried to tackle first problem grant Fielded questions on grant that wasn’t a problem but suddenly is Emailed zombies Read replies Pestered co-conspirators on problem grant Pestered them again Gave up for a while Succumbed to the lure of the panda for lunch Pondered confusing fortune Pestered again on problem grant Fielded phone call from distraught PI on problem grant Fended off insanity-based worldview from co-PI on problem grant Soothed clinical fellow who wrote problem grant Chatted with jay in china Pestered again with increasing sense of despair and futility as if merely going through the motions Went to lab meeting and had a beer Walked home seeing three co-workers on the way Bought flowers Did laundry Wrote 1500 words Did more internetting and emailing Made a salad for dinner in penance for the panda lunch And the beer And the popcorn Retired to couch for reading Blogging now in preparation for bedtime and more reading (9:00).
