Sale!

My short story “The Hippie Monster of Eel River” has been accepted for the Apex Book Company’s CLOSE ENCOUNTERS OF THE URBAN KIND anthology. Yay!

This gives me the opportunity to work once more with the lovely and talented editor Jennifer Brozek, about which I am so pleased.

And, this is a particularly interesting milestone for me personally, because Jay also submitted a story to this anthology, and it was rejected. Now, neither he nor I generally post about rejections (in my case at least, it would be deadly boring, since it happens all the time…), but he insisted I make this one public. In his words: “You skunked me.”

So, not a bad way to start the morning, I think. 🙂
