Still packing, and we’re supposed to leave in 15 minutes…ha. Not going to happen. Haven’t even showered yet.
It was a lovely day yesterday, though spoon-heavy for Jay: Mark and the Child and Jay and I went to the Academy of Sciences, along with (apparently) the entire rest of San Francisco and everyone who is in town visiting. We managed to go through the aquarium and the rain forest exhibit (though Jay sat out the latter) before everyone was exhausted and overwhelmed by the crowds. Then back to the Witchnest for a brief lie-down and lunch; then Jay took the Child to the airport, and we bid her a fond farewell. It was a fun four days with her, really quite nice.
Mark went off to dinner in Marin and Jay and I ordered a pizza, watered the orchids, and enjoyed a quiet evening. This morning, we three scaled the dizzying heights of Buena Vista.
And now I have to shower, finish packing, hit the grocery store, and then Jay and I head out for Sea Ranch, where Auntie Susan has snagged a house trade. I expect no internet out there, so–happy new year everyone! See you on the other side.
