I betook myself out today to see “The Help,” and I’m so glad I did. What a really incredibly wonderful movie. So believable, so honest, so powerful.
I’m not any kind of a reviewer, so this isn’t a review, just a recommendation. I walked out of the movie feeling like I’d inhabited another life for a while, an extraordinarily convincing one; I’ve spent the rest of the day surrounded by the story. It’s hard to explain. Just go see it.
What a nice thing to have happen, after Mark and I saw such a disappointing movie last week with scarlettina. She writes about it far better than I could. She is entirely correct.

In other news: spit still works; tomatoes are still delicious; I perhaps finished that first new chapter in Hobgoblin; the weather is nice again; and three-day weekends (or any kind of weekends) don’t mean much to freelancers. Except that yoga class is canceled for Monday, boo.
