And a Breath

We had a wonderful brunch this morning for Mark’s family: his parents, youngest brother, brother’s wife, and niece. Everyone had a good time, I think, and expressed gratifying appreciation for my house and garden. 🙂 People with excellent taste, obviously.

Mark’s mother grew up in Portland, so after brunch we drove past both houses where she lived, which was cool. Then we dropped them at the airport, then returned home, whereupon Mark took a nap and I went for a swim. Hey, everyone has their vices. Then I fiddled in the garden a while–did the typical thing of going out to water something and coming back inside 45 minutes later. And the little grey-and-white cat came by to visit again, which was lovely. Then we (me and Mark, not me and the cat) walked out to sushi dinner and Pix dessert. Le yum followed by le yum!

I forgot to mention the other day: Mark signed the wall at Powell’s.

And that’s about all the news I’ve got, I think. Time to take a few minutes of down time before the next flood of activity. Oh and finish this freelance job and put the house and garden back together and get ready to go to Italy and and and….
