OryCon starts this weekend, here in Portland–actually, it has already started, as Mark and I attended a meet-and-greet for writers workshop participants (writers and pros). That was fun–I’m still really enjoying this kinda new thing, of walking into a roomful of writing-people and knowing at least half of them. 🙂
Because it’s in town, and because we’re mostly-unemployed writers, and additionally (though I didn’t know this till today) because it’s going to cost Large Money to repair the cruise control in my Subaru, we’re not staying at the con hotel, but will be driving back to my house every night. Which will mean less BarCon, but, oh well. That’s probably healthier anyway.
In other riveting, exciting news, I got my teeth cleaned today. First time in rather too long, since I hadn’t managed to get a new dentist up here in Portland, since moving from San Francisco. But, all is well, and mmmm, I love the feeling of freshly-cleaned teeth.
Okay, too much excitement. I’d better log off now before the internet explodes.
