Babies!

There are baby shrimp in the aquarium! So exciting!

One of the shrimp we bought was pregnant, but she hasn’t been seen in a while, so I wasn’t sure there would be babies at all…but I saw two of them this evening! Eensy teensy little things they are, but clearly shrimp! 🙂

Also, did some tinkering on the collab story and sent it back to Mark. It’s probably about ready to go in, but I want him to look it over once more.

When I was done with that, I spent an hour or so beginning to draft an outline, some world-building background, and other major questions for the Callie novel that’s swimming around in my brain. I feel like I’m circling over the story from a great height, right now: I can see things down on the ground below, but I can’t really make them out with any clarity. Though I’m closer than I was before I did this work. Hopefully after a few more days of poking at it, I’ll be ready to dive in.

It will be fun to write a novel again. It’s been a while. I drafted Hobgoblin last November through January, and have been editing it, writing short stories, or not-writing since then. This is long overdue.
