Having a wonderful time, it’s all rushing by!
We went to a reading Tuesday followed by dinner with Scarlettina and a new friend (alas, continuing a disturbing recent trend of bringing people to favorite restaurants only to experience service and/or food fail big time). But the company was fabulous.
Yesterday, we caught the Men in Black movie (entertaining enough), and I made a TON of progress on Nightcraft Mother, including realizing something critical on the walk to the movie, which I came home afterward and integrated. I’m only about thirty pages from the end; I should have it done in the next few days!
Today, more writing, and then a very enjoyable dinner with Elizabeth B. and Kij. After (ahem) a few drinks, the camera-phones came out.

We pack up and head to Portland tomorrow. My folks arrive Saturday–yes, my folks did just visit; these are my OTHER folks. 🙂 And I will be doing what I can for my friend who had the ER visit Monday night, who is going to be fine but it’ll be a process of healing and recovery. As I am fond of saying, never a dull moment…
