It’s been a full couple of days, commuting back and forth to the Cascade Writer’s Workshop–lots of fun, lots of interesting things to learn. Last night I stayed past midnight, then had to drive home (no traffic at that hour!). This evening I pooped out before 8pm, came home, took care of a few things around here, which felt good.
What a fabulous bunch of people this mini-con draws. Every time I turned around there was someone great to talk to. And the presentations have been marvelous too. Camille Alexa gave a talk about short stories this afternoon that makes me want to toss everything aside and just write, write, write.
Inspiring! And now I’m brain-dead exhausted and on social overload. Luckily, tomorrow is a shorter day.
It must be so overwhelming for the folks actually doing the workshopping, which I am not doing, this year. Then again, if I were, I’d probably have sprung for a hotel room, and saved the commuting (and given myself a quiet place to retreat to when I needed escape).
But all in all, it’s great. 🙂
