More Sideways Forward

I made more progress-that-doesn’t-look-like-progress on Hobgoblin today…finished cleaning up the outline, matching it with the book-as-written (through the first half) and notes-of-things-to-come (for the second half). But then I realized that the changes I have to make going back are even larger than I thought yesterday…so now I’ve already scribbled all over this clean new outline. :/ Oh well!

Tomorrow I think I’ll actually go back and make those changes–in chapters 1, 5, and 7; that should take care of it. Then I’ll know how to correctly finish chapter 12 (where I am now), and then maybe move Actually forward instead of just Apparently forward.

But then it’s all progress, right?

I wish I had several weeks in a row with nothing else to do but work on this, because it’s so exciting when it all starts to inhabit my mind this way…but, that is not to be. It’s not like I’m not looking forward to Chicago, because I totally am. It’s just…I wish I had two weeks to do only this, and THEN that it would be time for WorldCon.

At least I have a few days with nothing major planned. 🙂 I’ll make the most of them…
