OryCon

Today was the first day of OryCon, our little local Portland con. I didn’t have programming today, but I went to Mark’s reading (well attended!) and panel, and sat for a while at the Cascade Writers table.

Except speaking of readings, my reading (ha ha, funny that) turns out to be not in the program. So if you’re at OryCon, or anywhere in the state of Oregon tomorrow: I’M READING AT 5:00 IN THE GRANT ROOM.

COME TO MY READING!!!!

I’ll be reading the first chapter of Nightcraft Mother Queen and Tower The Queen and The Tower. It will be awesome! I practiced it today and, wow, I kind of like it.

SATURDAY 5:00 READING: GRANT ROOM! COME! BRING ME WINE!*

We also saw lots of friends, and walked through the dealers room, and ended up in the bar, exhausted and starving, and both of those problems were handily solved; and more friends showed up, and it was all to the good.

And we continued to bemoan the fact that I’M NOT IN THE PROGRAM even though THIS WAS ALL WELL AND TRULY ARRANGED LIKE AGES AGO and I don’t even know what happened. But apparently I’m not the only victim of, um, shall we say, circumstances.

Anyway, the important thing is: COME TO MY READING TOMORROW! 5:00 TO 5:30! GRANT ROOM!

(I’m not even telling you about the rats. That’s a story for another day.)

*Just kidding.**

**Sort of.
