Ooh I am brain dead. I just (this very minute) finished going over my most excellent editor-notes on Eel River…they were very minor corrections, but there were like thousands of them. Truly. Nothing substantive as far as plot goes, and they were all definite improvements, but I had to think about each and every one of them, and now my brain is empty.
But in the process, I of course read the book again, after a few years of paying attention to other things. And, wow, I’m impressed. 🙂 If I do say so myself. You guys, this is creepy stuff. I wonder where it came from.
And that’s not the only reason I’m brain dead! Mark and I also finished going over my notes after our Nightcraft World Conference, ultimately expanding them from, I don’t remember, 9? single spaced pages, up to now 16. But I think I am ready to tackle the rewrite now! (Which was all the more reason to get the Eel River edits done.)
Plus, there was some gardening. And I didn’t go to yoga, because my leg is sore from Tuesday’s class. I perhaps pushed myself a bit hard, in my enthusiasm… it happens.
Tomorrow, fresh start: I hope to feel up to doing yoga in the morning; then we’re off to Seattle for this and that, back on Sunday. Go-go-go.
