Book Report: How I Spent My Evening:
As you may know, Mark is an illustrator. And lately he has been doing rather a lot of book covers, which is totally fun. (some of them are for me! one of which I will be showing you Very Soon!)
But at the moment, he’s doing one for a friend of ours. A kind of postapocalyptic scene, featuring a downtrodden guy staring dismally down at a pile of, well, robot parts, sort of. (which will be added by the illustrator, later.) (and I guess you kinda have to read the story for it all to make sense.)
Anyway, Mark likes to work from photographic material when he can, and so when he got this gig, we started thinking, Who can we get to model…?
And we immediately thought of the brilliant Will Stenberg, his old friend from days of yore.
So we bribed Will (and his delightful wife Bambi) over here with a sumptuous dinner, and then dressed him up in coveralls, made Bambi hold the light, and Mark took a jillion photos.
And somewhere in there will be a book cover. I’ll post it when it’s done.
