We actually did make it out to the World Horror hotel, briefly; had lunch with my friend Scott from San Francisco (we were in a marvelous crit group together, I still miss them all) and saw a few other friends. So, I feel less fail about that. 🙂
And the visit with Mrs. Innkeeper was fun too. She and Mr. Innkeeper want to retire in a few years and sell the inn to us. That’s a marvelous idea…if only we could afford it.
And now it’s back to all Our Lady, all the time. For about a week now, it’s seemed like there’s just about a week’s left worth of work to do. Today, it’s actually looking like five or six days more! Progress!!
Also, the weather has turned nice again. The garden is lush with weeds. If I ever finish rewriting a novel, I may get serious out there…
