Well that didn’t last long: got a new freelance job this morning. 🙂 It looks very cool, though. I’m not complaining.
Meanwhile, however, I did manage to spend several hours working on Queen & Tower this afternoon. Even past when my writing-friend was done with his work. So, yay! I am still mired around 10,000 words, but today that meant that I deleted about 1,000 and added about 1,000. Tomorrow, I’ll be ready to actually move forward!
In other news…we had been scheduled to do another substitute-innkeeping stint on Orcas Island in late April/early May, but the innkeepers are no longer certain that’s going to happen. In fact they are nearly certain it’s not. They have put the inn up for sale, you see (:sniffle:), and they want to stick around in case potential buyers drop by.
Coincidentally, we got a house-trade request from some nice folks in Vancouver (the big one, not the one across the river here) for the exact same time. And we’ve got friends in Vancouver, who should live in Portland except they insist on being Canadians. So…this might all work out. Vancouver’s only a five-hour drive from here. Why, that’s practically around the corner.
In other other news, it rained all day. It’s like Oregon around here!
