Thursday Notes: #23
Going Viral…???
I wrote you last week about how much fun I’m having with Medium, and the fact that one of my stories was doing pretty well there.
WELL THEN THIS HAPPENED.

OH MY GOODNESS you guys. I’m stoked. I had no idea this was even a thing. I said “yes” (of course) and it’s in the editing process now, and I await further word.
Can I retire yet? 🙂
Although you’d never know it from this newsletter lately, there are more things going on in my life than writing articles for Medium.
Such as…I’m working hard on a long freelance job which is fun and satisfying. It will probably take me through the end of the month, and there might be another one just like it soon thereafter. (Yay!) The down side of that is that it’s taking pretty much all the creative energy my brain has each day, so my own writing is taking a back seat (other than occasional articles mumble mumble). But I do hope to get back to Callie and her story some time in February–unless my collaborator gets me back a draft of Orcas Investigation. 🙂
And…it’s been kind of cold here, so of course my car’s heater broke. It’s in the shop right now, and I’m biting my nails waiting for the call to tell me how horrifically expensive it’s going to be… (yay again for good freelance jobs)
And…Mark and I went off-island yesterday for doctor appointments and some shopping. While I love our ferry ride, and our splendid isolation here, it does mean that an hour or two of errands and appointments (my appointment took all of five minutes) ends up taking the whole day. It’s the price we pay.
And…Mark updated his website! It looks fantastic. Click here to check it out!
Photo editing is still not fixed. Mark had to help me with this photo. Now both of us get to spend our Thursdays wrestling with my newsletter! (grr) But here’s some new neighbors on our road. Aren’t they sweet?
That’s it for this week! I’m back to that Big Job (after I record this pile of receipts from yesterday…) Stay warm, everyone! And thanks, as ever, for reading.
