Thursday Notes: #22
No Pictures
Good afternoon! Just a brief note today–I’m still digging out from under all the stuff that didn’t get done while we saw friends and family, and ate cookies, pretty much nonstop for the last several weeks.
It was a really nice holiday season, though I’m glad to be getting back to a routine. I’m lucky enough to actually like my work. I’m not going to mess that up by neglecting it.
And no pictures today. I just don’t have it in me to wrestle with this newsletter software. I’ve been in contact with the company, and they say they’ll add in a new photo editing tool soon…until they do, maybe you just have to read words. UGH WORDS, right? 🙂
I do have an update for you on the Medium thing. I’ve written two more stories, one of which was kind of forced, and I’m not going to link to it here.
But the other one…I’m rather proud of it, and it’s getting a lot more attention than any of my other stories yet. I have no idea how far this goes or what happens next–I’m just kind of amazed that perfect strangers are finding it, and reading it, and liking it! (I know, that’s a strange attitude for a published writer, but hey…nobody ever said writers are normal, or consistent, did they?)
Here’s the “friends” link: I Was a Trophy Wife.
Medium did send me $7.82 yesterday. So clearly I am doing something right, and am totally on my way to fame and fortune. Right?
Not only that, but my good friend Karen also signed up, and started publishing fabulous articles of her own. Check out “Shopping at the Used Man Store”, part one and part two, by Karen G. Berry.
More good words in the world! Hooray!
Happy new year, everyone! Talk to you next week.
