Weekendery

Just got word that Mark made it safely back to frozen Seattle. It was a very nice weekend here, if rather rainy; but, “we need it,” I know.

We didn’t get any writing done, as we had hoped, but talked about writing a lot–process, and our particular stories, and WRPA–so that is good.

The work party was fun too, and the dates were a hit, as usual. And so simple! Medjoul dates, pitted and filled with mascarpone cheese, and topped with chopped pistachios. Sweet salty creamy crunchy yum! Assemble them as close to eating time as possible; if you have to travel a ways, consider adding the nuts when you get to the party (or whatever your destination). They suffer from hanging around on the cheese too long…
