Bright Sunshiny Day

I slept marvelously last night! And woke up and there was sun everywhere! Everywhere!!

So, yeah, I feel better. At least for now. 🙂

I searched all my photos, and I apparently have never taken a picture of that side of the gazebo. Well, I have now, here’s the mystery chimes:

It’s very pretty. I have no objection. Still…weird.

In other news: the city finished tearing a big hole in the street and fiddling with the sewer two doors down; today they’ve started two doors up. So maybe they are going to replace the whole street. Just, piecemeal, and haphazardly. Okay. I guess I can live with that. Years ago when I lived in San Francisco, they decided to replace the sewer on our block. (A very steep block.) They dug a deep, wide trench right at the edge of the sidewalk. Then it was Friday night and they went home for the weekend. Everyone on the street had to go find planks to lay over the trench so we could get in and out of our garages. It was all very precarious, teetering on these planks at a severe angle all weekend. So, yeah, I guess this is better.

In other-other news: is “chimes” singular or plural? I mean, chimes is plural, yes; but a set of chimes? Is it a thing that has appeared in my backyard, or are they things? This has been bothering me every time I write about it. Or them. Or whatever.

In other-other-other news: yes, I know the gazebo is covered in vines. Shut up. I really do pull out vines all the time. And aren’t they pretty? (Squirrel!)
