Leaving momentarily for Zombie Club, so I’ll make this brief.
-To 65,390 words on Entangled, and just kicked into gear to lead up to the climax. (Which will beget the Second, Real climax of course…but still!) 1,500 words today; wasn’t sure I had time, but there they were.
-Got told about YET ANOTHER new grant we’re applying for at work today. The PI was all, “Isn’t this exciting?” Boss Lady and I were all, “No, actually. No, it is not exciting.”
-Also on the work front–I stupidly just checked my work email and see a new set of guidelines for these grants, handed down from On High. Yeah, the grants we’ve already turned in, and are turning in Monday. Um, okay.
-But enough about work. Tonight’s Zombie meeting is a reading night–reading aloud. Usually we read our own stories (and I try to write a new story for the meetings). Sometimes we read each other’s stories. This time, we’re going to read stories by Other People–published things, things we like. I’ve chosen “The Doom of Love in Small Spaces” by Ken Scholes–I hope it’s not too long. I heard him read it at Calgary, and I reread it recently, and it’s just magical.
Gotta go!
