Ahhhh….I love it when it’s hot in the city. All 3 days a year. 🙂 Seriously–incredibly gorgeous all weekend. And I didn’t even get sunburned!
Yesterday, I went to see the Giants, with my brother and his wife and others. Tim Lincecum, our cute-as-a-button Cy Young pitcher, pitched beautifully, striking out 13 batters…but alas, the Giants could not pull the game out. Sigh.
I guess it’s all right that I haven’t bought a TV. It would just be depressing. I’m not sure the Giants have won a game yet this season. Okay, maybe I’m exaggerating, but not much.
Today…even warmer, so gorgeous. I walked around and looked at open houses–including a $3.5 million place with incredible views and two fireplaces (which the realtor explained he hadn’t lit, even though they both work!, because of the weather; I’m all, Of course they do; they darn well better for this price!). Hahahah. I love open houses. I mean, when else do you get the chance to poke through a $3.5 million house? And pretend the reason you’re not buying it is because the ceilings are only 8 feet high, and you don’t like the carpeting on the stairs? 🙂
Then, wordcount (none yesterday), and dinner with a friend in the Haight. Wow–just four blocks from here, the Haight is an entirely different neighborhood. What a city.
Finally, a bit of chat with a suspciously unsleepy Jay, just returned from China, going on something like 317 hours of travel with 45 minutes of sleep…I don’t know how he does it. Me, I’m heading to bed, right now.
