Randomness

Heh, funny story.

So a friend called and asked if I could do a favor and drive someone to the airport. As it happened, I could.

Along the way, I realized the car needed gas–my gas light came on. “That’s okay,” I told my passenger, “there’s enough to get to the airport.”

There was; I dropped the passenger off; then thought, I should go back on surface streets, rather than the freeway, and stop at a gas station.

Then there were no gas stations (by the airport! seriously!), and I drove along, beginning to fret; and soon realized I was near the fish store. Aha, I thought, I’ll stop by the fish store and pick up my key, from when the maintenance guy had fed the fish when I was gone last weekend.

And nearly at the fish store there was a gas station, whew, as I was truly running on fumes at that point.

And at the fish store, I picked up my key; and then, of course, being at the fish store, one has to look at the fish; and I saw the most striking fancy guppy!

And lo, I have a new guppy. And he’s just as hard to photograph as the others–in fact even harder, as when I hunkered down in front of the tank with the camera-phone, all the old guppies rushed to the front, and the new guy rushed to the back. I deleted a lot of pictures of colorful blurs. Here’s a blurry crappy photo of him (and the yellow guppy, and a minnow). He has a huge black tail! Even bigger than what the photo shows!

He seems to be adjusting well. And now there are five guppies, which is a much nicer number than four. 🙂
