Morning Glory!
I have more garden things to show you, but I’ll have to go take pictures of them first.
This afternoon I spent some time clearing a bed of a volunteer “ground cover” I formerly liked but don’t so much like any more…it’s gotten leggy and sickly-looking, while at the same time strangling out things that should be there, like roses.
Unfortunately, roses don’t always know when you’re trying to help them, and they will employ defensive measures. I don’t blame them. They just don’t understand.
Also, there were spiders.
Anyway! It was a productive and satisfying day outside of the garden too, as compared with yesterday, which was productive in a different way, as I was helping Mark with a project of his (about which more later), and then we went to REI and secured camping gear (about which more later as well!). Later, I actually barbecued chicken breasts, all by myself, and they came out juicy and perfect and delicious. And then Mark drove back to Seattle early this morning, alas.
And that’s pretty much the news around here. How was YOUR weekend?
