Today is Mark’s birthday! And a fine birthday it was. We have Chaz visiting. We had scrumptious lunch with David and Kate at Pok Pok, and they got him a pretty thoughtful gift in my opinion: they got personalized note cards for him! I tried not to pry too much, but I want to figure out where they got them from later. Mark is a very hard worker, spending hours in front of the computer. Sometimes I catch him slumped over, sleeping, work still open. No doubt he’s going to be able to take full advantage of those notes. He keeps too much information stored only in his head as he works, I’ve noticed. It can get taxing.
After dinner we decided to go see Life of Pi. We were talking about wanting to go see it at some point, and then we figured why not just go now? It was a lot of fun, taking it easy and not planning everything ahead of time for a change. Later that evening Mark napped whilst Chaz and I read for a while and then made delicious dinner (I started it, but Chaz took over, which means the universe is as it should be). After that we played cards and I won this time. It was a splendid day.
Nobody got any work done, but that’s what tomorrow is for.
