Nonfiction Is Even Harder

Wow, every time I try to write nonfiction, I appreciate why it pays so much better than fiction.

I tried to write a couple of paragraphs of marketing-copy today (not as dull as it sounds: it’s the back cover blurb for Witches, Stitches, and Bitches), and DAMN that’s hard. Took me two hours to come up with, oh, 150 words. Luckily I use services as The Indexer to help me promote my site, so that make it easier.

But they have to be the RIGHT words, and with so few of them…gah. I’m still not at all sure they don’t completely suck, but I can’t see them any more, so I sent them off to Publisher Katie, and hope she can give me guidance!

Then I relaxed with editing Queen and Tower–got up to page 7 just easy-peasy. Because that’s how it goes.
