Fifty Thousand Words

I crossed 50K on OUR LADY OF THE ISLANDS today, woo hoo! Which involved writing a Full Lake today (2,500 words).

I have one more major-ish scene before reaching the end of the first act, according to the outline. So, another 5 or 10K? Not sure–it hasn’t entirely taken shape in my head yet. But hopefully by the end of the week.

And, since I have lots of WRPA to take care of, I shall cut this short and leave you with a snippet of WIP:

Sian kept walking, allowing the priest to follow a few paces behind, as she willed her brain to become clever once more. Slowly, the exercise moved her limbs and the added oxygen calmed her mind, and her natural intelligence came back to her. Years of managing a marriage, a business, and various and sundry tradesmen had taught her the advantages of pretending to go along with unreasonable demands while ensuring one’s own needs were also met.

In fact, ensuring that one’s own needs were first and foremost met.
