Back to writing. I went four days without writing. Gah! But, 2,000 words tonight; and, in looking at the outline, I see that I am quite close to the end of this thing.
I mean, I knew that I was fairly close; but wow, there’s like the scene that I’m in, and then one more scene after that, and that’s it! Maybe I’ll be finished by the end of the weekend?
Wow!
Well, we’ll see. Can’t think about that too hard. I just feel relieved that I’m writing again. I was only not writing because it was pretty much impossible to make any time for it, and I had known that was going to happen, and planned for it; but still, it makes me kind of crazy, to be mid-project (or near-end-project) and have to break like that.
Because, don’t even think that I’m not going to take a nice chunk of down time when I’m done with this draft. To read, and get caught up with life things, and okay, maybe do short stories or whatever. But: time off from big projects. At least till after World Fantasy.
And speaking of WFC: I had thought I was going to have some programming at the con, but it turns out I’m not, which is disappointing, but, there’s not much I can do about it. At least I have panels and a workshop session at OryCon, in November. As in: I am going to be doing workshopping, not receiving it. Which will be totally cool.
All right, I’m rambling. Clearly it’s time to get horizontal with a book. Night, all!
