COPY EDITING AND PROOFREADING

I work with a variety of genres and subject matters in both fiction and nonfiction. My first loves are copy editing (working with an edited manuscript to smooth out inconsistencies and catch minor mistakes the structural and line editors may have missed) and proofreading (finding typos and layout mistakes and infelicities in typeset material).

LARGER SCALE EDITING

My editorial experience includes helping with doctoral dissertations, rewriting marketing copy, cleaning up websites, and line editing for many books, both fiction and nonfiction. I’ve been a staff editor for Per Aspera Press and Ragnarok Publications, with a focus on unusual fantasy works with strong, interesting characters; I am currently working independently editing anthologies.

In 2019, Mark Ferrari and I incorporated as A Little of This, Inc., to bring our variety of author services under one umbrella. Mark provides larger, structural editorial input, story editing, and book doctoring, freeing me to focus on the more detailed aspects of your manuscript.
